the freedom to plan the wedding you really want

The tipi setup gives such a natural, rustic festival vibe to a wedding and it makes your wedding photos look incredible. It’s really hard to get a bad photo when you’re doing wedding photography here, seriously. The tipis give you a real freedom to plan the wedding exactly how you want it. You can put festival style signage outside, have hay bales, games and activity areas.

The inside of the tipis are a blank canvas, but again the venue lends itself to natural and rustic inspired table dressing. The Hidden Hive in Derbyshire work with loads of cool suppliers for your wedding breakfast, and loads of florists and table decorations, so you can do it all in house with the minimum of fuss.

Tipi setups like this can comfortable house a couple of hundred guests so if you’re planning a big event it means that guests have freedom to wander and don’t feel too hemmed in.

Overnight stays for your guests at The Hidden Hive

If you want accommodation for you and guests on site there’s a brilliant mini glamping hire company called Tinker’s Bells which is based in Uttoxeter. They can create a cosy luxe space for a newly married couple or affordable tents for your guests to stay, just metres from the main tipi venue.

Plannning your wedding: get the right photographer on board!

It’s really important to choose a photographer that suits your aesthetic: do you want a super replaxed documentary kind of set of photos? Or do you like posed, fashion type editorial shots? You also want a photographer that you know you’ll feel comfortable with all day; it’s a long day after all and you want to enjoy their company!

I’m a wedding photographer in the East Midlands and Derbyshire and I love weddings with a fun, relaxed vibe. I aim to be super relaxed during your big day and make you at ease in front of the camera. I don’t believe that your awesome day should be dictated by the photographer and be filled with loads of boring, formal posed photos. I prefer to go with the flow of your wedding and capture what’s actually happening!
