Yeldersley Hall wedding

Planning a Yeldersley Hall wedding? This is absolutely amazing wedding venue in the heart of Derbyshire.

Near Ashbourne and the Peak District, it’s the perfect wedding wedding venue for an intimate, rustic wedding. There’s a lot of choice of beautiful venues in this area, but Yeldersley Hall really suits a couple looking to put their own unique stamp on their wedding day.

Yeldersley hall is the ultimate DIY wedding venue

The venue is ideal for this because you you hire the facilities you require at Yeldersley Hall and then organise your own wedding. There’s also options for an amazing catering team to prepare exactly the kind of wedding breakfast or buffet that you’re planing. Basically, this is not a one size fits all venue. You certainly won’t feel like you’re part of a production line of couples getting married. Everything here is unique, and it feels like a private estate, rather than a commercial wedding venue.

Facilities for your Yeldersley Hall Wedding

Rooms available include a versatile function room, formerly the billiard room to the hall. The room, which can accommodate up to 60 people seated for a meal or 80 for a civil ceremony. It has a magnificent oak fireplace providing a wonderful focal point and a stunning backdrop for photographs. This room is licensed for civil wedding ceremonies or can simply be an elegant space for your wedding reception.

During the summer months there’s a marquee extension, which has a seating capacity of 80 guests. You can enjoy the views of the stunning gardens as you eat and give your speeches.

In addition, wedding guests have use of a beautiful and relaxing lounge together with a stunning bar area.

There’s so many beautiful areas to take photos: the stables, the walled gardens, the classic interiors, the surrounding fields. All it takes is a twenty minute walk around the grounds and you can achieve some stunning portrait shots during your wedding.

Booking a photographer for your Yeldersley Hall wedding

It’s important that you book the right kind of photographer for your big day. Are you looking for formal, posed photographs? or do you prefer a relaxed, laid back documentary style?

Relaxed, documentary style wedding photography

I’m a wedding photographer in Ashbourne and i’ve included some of the photos from a wedding I shot here recently (July 2022). They show my candid approach to your day; relaxed and discreet, capturing natural shots. I think it’s important to let your wedding day flow as naturally as possible, so I try not to dictate proceedings at all; rather, observe them and capture the fun moments of the day. I also take time to get some portraits of the bride and groom when there’s time during your day. I also make your family and group photos as fun and painless as possible so your guests can enjoy themselves either than being bossed around!

My particular favourite areas at Yeldersley Hall are the walled gardens; so many opportunities for beautiful photos. Also, the stables are atmospheric, as pictured below, with distressed white walls and decorations.
